- For Class 1 to 5 & Class 6 to 8: 18 Years
- For Class 9 to 10 & Class 11 to 12: 21 Years

- General (Female): 40 Years
- BC, EBC (Male & Female): 40 Years
- SC, ST (Male & Female): 42 Years

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following qualifications for the respective teaching posts:
For Class 1 to 5 Teachers:
- Graduation Degree in Any Stream with Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Graduation Degree with 50% Marks and B.Ed Degree OR
- 12th with 50% Marks with 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Diploma OR
- 12th with 45% Marks (as per 2002 norms) with 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- 12th with 50% Marks with 4 Year B.L.Ed. Degree OR
- Master Degree with 55% Marks and a 3 Year B.Ed. – M.Ed. Degree.
And must be CTET Paper I OR BTET Paper I Exam Qualified.
For Class 6 to 8 Teachers:
- Graduation Degree with 50% Marks & B.Ed Degree OR
- Graduation / Post Graduation Degree with 50% Marks with B.Ed OR
- Graduation Degree with 45% Marks and B.Ed (NCTE Norms) OR
- Graduation Degree with 50% Marks and BA B.Ed. and B.Sc. Ed OR
- Graduation Degree with 50% Marks and B.Ed. Special OR
- Post Graduation Degree with 55% Marks and 3 Year B.Ed. – M.Ed. Course OR
- Graduation Degree in Any Stream with Diploma in Elementary Education.
And must be CTET Paper II Qualified.
For Class 9 to 10 Teachers:
- Graduation / Post Graduation Degree in Related Subject with Minimum 50% Marks & B.Ed. Degree OR
- Graduation / Post Graduation in Related Subject with Minimum 45% Marks (as per 2002 norms) & B.Ed. Degree OR
- 4 Year Degree in BA.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.
And must be STET Paper I Exam Qualified.
For Class 11 to 12 Teachers:
- Master Degree in Related Subject with Minimum 50% Marks & B.Ed. Degree OR
- Master Degree in Related Subject with Minimum 45% Marks (as per 2002 norms) & B.Ed. Degree OR
- Master Degree in Related Subject with 4 Year Degree in BA.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Master Degree with 55% Marks & 3 Year B.Ed. – M.Ed. Degree.
And must be STET Paper II Exam Qualified.
